AIR 4  CLAT 2015

SRIRAM LAW ACADEMY interacted with RONGEET PODDAR a topper who came with a top rank in CLAT 2015.

Here’s the interview:

1. You have achieved a top rank in CLAT 2015.  How does it feel?
It is a wonderful feeling to have achieved such success. The feeling of success does take a lot of time to sink in.

2. What / Who inspired you to consider law as a career option?
I am fortunate enough to obtain such a stupendous rank in CLAT. My grandfather was a lawyer and I have always looked up to him as my role model. Besides I have always been driven by the desire to serve legal aid to that section of the society who is not as fortunate as me.

3. Describe the role played by Sriram Law Academy in your success.
Sriram Law Academy has been instrumental in my success. The Sriram books are ideal companions for CLAT. The regular weekly tests and the mock tests also helped me immensely in my endeavour to find a place in a top notch law school in India. Being a lawyer was my dream and Sriram helped me fulfill it.

4. How did you manage to tackle "negative marking" in CLAT?
Negative marking is a very important aspect of CLAT. All aspirants need to be wary about it. The best way to go about it would be to first mark the answers that you are absolutely certain about. Then there will be questions where you will be in two minds about a couple of options. I feel some of these questions can be attempted through a form of logical elimination between the two options. However one must never attempt other questions that he or she is unsure about.

5. GK is a vast area.  Given that you had to work on both Current Affairs and Static GK, how did you go about it?
The Sriram Law Times was a massive help in preparing the current affairs section of CLAT General Knowledge. The Current News  were all provided in a structured manner which helped me study and revise better and faster. For Static GK, the Sriram GK book is a must-read. It contains all the relevant topics under Static GK. The convenient layout of the book helped me retain information quite efficiently.

6. Would you like to share some tips with our students who are gearing up for the 2015 examination?

Keep your composure.  That's the most important thing for cracking CLAT. Assess your strengths and weaknesses. Prepare a systematic daily study plan that includes all the subjects.  Stick to it.  All the best
